Taking inspiration from the app shown below, our app could include features such as custom alert sounds, which allows the user to select/upload their own sound to be used as an alert from the app. 

Another setting would be the option to turn off certain alerts. The app won't just be for one purpose or one alert. For example, using the COVID-19 case that going on currently, we could have alerts for new cases around your area, or new cases around the country, giving daily updates. There could also be a feature which reminds the user to keep on top of hygiene, and with this app, any of these features can be turned off. 

Finally, there would be the radius setting. If our app alerts with every new case of COVID-19, then we will also have a radius setting, which allows the user to input their own radius, and then only receive notifications within their radius.
